Update to residents to inform on changes to the masterplan following consultation feedback.
A Comprehensive Mixed Residential Development
Tickford Fields Farm, which lies immediately to the east of Newport Pagnell and to the north of North Crawley Road. extends to approximately 45 hecatres and comprises for the most part agricultural land. The land has been identified as a strategic development site within the Newport Pagnell Neighbourhood Plan and discussions have been ongoing for sometime over the delivery of the land.
A residential led development providing up to 930 dwellings of a range of types, but including affordable housing;
The development will provide a 2 form entry school primary school, with pre school facility with development taking place prior to completion of 100th dwelling;
Provisison will be made for a new local centre with a small supermarket, additional shops and a health centre / community facility;
The development follows a landscape strategy which provides for retention of hedgerows, creation of green corridors and open spaces with new areas of planting and the creation of a new eastern ‘green edge’;
Provision of new vehicular access from North Crawley Road and emergency access via Chicheley Street;
A network of redways links; and Creation of visual and acoustic screening.
Milton Keynes Development Partnership are committed to a programme of effective public engagement commencing with an exhibition of the developmenmt propsals which will take place at the United Reformed Church Hall on Friday 18th January 12pm-7:30pm and Saturday between 11.00am and 3pm, and Saturday 19th January from 11am-3pm. This website will also be used to provide information on the proposals including the content of the planning application and arrangements for formal consultation including any amendments to the scheme as it progresses.
